Welcome.  Hi, my name is Dawn.  I’m a mom of two athletic boys and wife to a very supportive husband.  As my boys get older, I realize how fast time is passing us by.  It is my goal to take steps in our busy lives to slow it down a bit and get back to some basic principals.

It’s so easy to make excuses to not workout.  It’s second nature to go out to eat after a long day of running around to sports practices or games after school and work.  I’ve lost myself to always taking care of them and making sure they are where they need to be, that all homework is done, the house is clean (at least for 15 minutes before they get home),  the laundry done (boys are stinky,  and the cupboards are stocked (they are eating us out of house and home).  Does this sound like you?  Always putting everyone else first and you feel neglected and run down?  For my mental well-being, I need to spend time on getting balanced.  Maybe you do to.

I have found great support with challenge groups on FB.  I am eating clean 90/10 and it is wearing off on my family, which is a win-win.  I started to workout for the first time since college. It feels good to take off a few pounds and be happier in my own skin.  Added bonus is my husband has noticed and now he wants to get in better shape too.  My boys are loving keeping me accountable.
